LONDON 25 November 2025. Moving a low-freeboard, slow-tow oil rig through the Gulf of Guinea -specifically the Equatorial Guinea EEZ and Gabon EEZ – is never routine. The region remains one of the world’s most challenging maritime environments, with persistent piracy threats and complex regulatory requirements. For this operation, Salama Fikira was engaged to provide a risk management solution — one that balanced security, compliance, and operational efficiency without compromising on safety.
